Birch’s History
I began my path down entrepreneurism over 25 years ago. I had just had my first child and was due to go back to work full-time. I didn’t want to leave my son, but I was the main income earner in the family. I was blessed to have a wonderful mentor who gave me the encouragement to go out on my own. That mentor, who was also my employer, didn’t fill the marketing position I had left, and instead became my first client. I continued on my journey, getting client after client, supporting my family and raising my children.
The company has gone through many changes since its inception in 1995. At one time I had a partner, and then two partners, and two employees. Today, it’s me and a close circle of trusted freelancers, one of which is that first child that prompted my travel down the entrepreneurial road. He is a gifted graphic designer and I am grateful to be able to work with him. I greatly enjoy the personal attention I get to give my clients, many of whom I now call friend.
